Casino War is based off the most basic and easy card game: War. The gameplay involves players making a bet on who is to draw the highest card. However, Casino War extends a bit beyond the boundaries of the traditional War playing card game.
How to Play
Casino War is played with six decks. The cards are ranked as in the traditional War game with 2 being the lowest ranked card and Ace being the highest ranked card. Suits do not matter.
Players make their wager before getting their cards dealt.
After the players have placed their wagers, the dealer gets one card.
Players compare their card with the value of the dealer’s card. In case the player’s card is higher, he will win at an even payout. If the dealer’s card however is higher in rank, the player loses his wager.
There is the possibility of a tie between the player’s and the dealer’s hand. In such a scenario, the player generally has two choices:
a) To surrender and lose half of the amount of money he/she has betted
or
b) To go to War
If the players decides to go to War, he/she has to raise the wager by an amount that equals his/her original bet. The dealer will do the same, afterwards three cards are skipped. Both the player and the dealer will then be dealt an additional card.
If the player’s second card is equal or higher than the dealer’s second card, the player will win a bet at an even payout only on the raise. If the dealer’s second hand is victorious, however, the player will lose both of his wagers.
There is a special side wager that players can make. This is the so called “Tie Bet” – players bet that the first two cards of the game will be a tie. If they have guessed right, the payout for the Tie Bet is 10 to 1.
